Harriet is an interdisciplinary PhD researcher at the Mixed Reality Lab, University of Nottingham, based in the Horizon CDT. Harriet comes from a background in Human Geography, where she studied digital identity, virtual communities, and online activism. This fundamentally shaped her approach to research, which continues to explore identity, space, place, and how technologies interact with and configure these experiential concepts. Currently, her research centres around using technologies to enable more meaningful relationships to flourish between art, audiences, and cultural venues, through transparent and consensual data donation. She is interested in the potential of innovative and novel technologies, past, present and future, to shape visitors’ experiences within museums and galleries.
